We recommend that all cats be on a monthly preventive product to protect them from fleas, ticks and heartworm (depending on the time of year). Any temperatures above freezing (O ℃), ticks can be active, whereas fleas and heartworm require warmer temperatures. Keeping your cat on a preventative product during our summer and fall months is especially important but is also beneficial year-round as fleas can stay dormant indoors for months at a time. Whether your cat goes outside or not, we still recommend a monthly preventative product to protect them from fleas, ticks and heartworm.
