Dr. Arora graduated from Veterinary School in 1996. He has been actively involved in the Veterinary Industry for almost 28 years in different work environments. He has practiced at a 24-hour small animal emergency and many other small animal practices in Ontario before he joined the team of Colborne Veterinary Clinic in 2010. Then an opportunity arose, and he opened Burford Veterinary Hospital in 2018. Dr. Arora enjoys working with small animals. He loves to discuss preventative medicine and utilizes putting the most up-to-date services available to companion animal clients and patients. In his spare time, he loves to attend online continuous education, search for new information and articles for the latest advancements in veterinary medicine. Dr. Arora acknowledges the importance of a team effort and an educated staff towards the delivery of high-quality veterinary care in a compassionate and caring manner with efficient clinic management. His areas of special interest are small animal pain management, medicine, and surgery. He is been happily married to his loving wife Suman, has two sons, Ritvik and Vaibhav and a young labrador Titus who keeps him busy the remaining time. He enjoys spending time with his family, driving, swimming, watching television and exercising in his home gym.
Dr. Richards graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1994. She has practiced in the Brantford area for the last 23 years in small animal medicine and surgery. She has an interest in avian and exotic medicine and surgery. Dr. Richards lives on a 10-acre hobby farm in the Paris area where she lives with her husband Bob and son Trevor. They share their home with “Luke”, the yellow lab, a Siamese cat named “Henry” and “Ethel”, the African grey parrot. When not doing the job she loves, Dr. Richards enjoys travelling and pursuing her favorite hobby of SCUBA diving.
From a very young age Tammy always knew she was destined to work in the veterinary medicine industry. She remembers catching garter snakes with her younger brother and bringing home countless baby birds, raccoons, skunks, and squirrels. Her first job was at 14, cleaning at a local vet clinic part time after school. As the years passed, she was very fortunate to work in multiple practices with very talented veterinarians, vet techs and assistants. Because of this she was able to gain a vast amount of knowledge. Now, after more than three decades, she still has the passion and love that she knew she was born to do. Tammy shares her home with her daughter and their Cocker Spaniel “Belle” and their Long Haired cat “Goose”.
Megan started out working in veterinary care in 2017 as a veterinary assistant while in school to become a veterinary technician. Megan graduated from Sheridan College’s veterinary technician program in the spring of 2019 and became a registered veterinary technician in the summer of 2019. With a special interest in exotic pets on top of small animal care, Megan worked in a hospital that saw many different small animal and exotic species for 5 years. Megan found her way to Burford Veterinary Hospital, and has a special interest in surgery and anesthesia, as well as pet nutrition. During the summer, Megan enjoys spending time on the beach at a family cottage, swimming and paddle boarding as much as possible, and in the winter, taking hikes with her Alaskan Malamutes.
Dawn has always enjoyed being around, owning, and helping animals since a young age. She started in the Animal Care course at Durham College and graduated in 2014. Over the years, she has had different experiences at a few different clinics as a receptionist and a veterinary assistant. Dawn has a Bernese Mountain Dog named Maverick, a Bearded Dragon named Meesha, and a Tortoise named Tyra. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her animals, friends and family completing many different activities, mainly outdoors.
Tori started her career path as a co-op student in 2016. After graduating high school, she was hired as a full-time veterinary assistant. After 2 years, Tori left to explore other avenues and interests. Shortly after, she found her way back into the veterinary field and joined the team here at Burford Vet. Tori stays busy outside of work with her young daughter and rambunctious rescue puppy, “Tessa”. She escapes the stress of work by relaxing with her friends and family. In the warmer weather Tori enjoys spending weekends at her family trailer. Her passion for veterinary medicine is obvious as Tori greets patients with a soft touch and warm smile.
Peyton knew she wanted to be in the veterinary medicine industry her whole life. She did a co-op placement in 2019 and was hired on part time after completion of the program. In 2022 an opportunity arose, and she joined the Burford Vet Team. Peyton is currently studying animal biology at the University of Guelph. In her spare time, she enjoys back country camping, riding her motorcycle and spending time with her cat, “Willow Grace”.
If your fur baby needs a spa day, look no further than our very own groomer Carol! Born and raised in the country, Carol always had an interest in taking care of animals of all types, often bringing them home with her. She started out as a vet assistant but realized that grooming was her calling. After 20 years in the business, we are lucky to have Carol working alongside us at the Burford Veterinary Hospital. In her downtime, Carol enjoys spending time with her horses, her dogs, and grandbabies.
Amber’s love for animals started at a young age. She would bring animals home that she found and would help them, Amber started out in the veterinary field as a co-op student, and then stayed on as a vet/tech assistant. Amber’s love for animals grew as she has a small hobby farm with a horse named Cinnamon and many chickens. It is growing as her daughter Lilly likes to bring home every animal she sees. Lilly has a rabbit, Nikkie and 2 rats, Layla and Ruby. Amber enjoys the outdoors, fishing, boating, riding her horse and paddle boarding.
